Trista Sutter became a well-known name back in 2002 when she appeared on the very first season of the long-running hit show, The Bachelor. As Alex Michel’s second choice, her heart was broken, but not for long as she was given the opportunity to turn the tables as the OG Bachelorette where she went on to meet the love of her life, Ryan Sutter. A year after they decided to tie the knot, they were married in a televised special that drew in over 26 million viewers, making it one of the most-widely viewed episodes in the history of reality television.
Since 2003, Trista has lived a relatively quiet life in the Rocky Mountains near Vail, CO, dedicating her days to Max (13) and Blakesley (11), the children she proudly shares with Ryan. Her family is her priority, but she can also be found working as a spokesperson, author (Happily Ever After: The Life-Changing Power of a Grateful Heart), speaker (TedX Vail, “The Value of YOU”), influencer (@tristasutter) or podcast host (Better, Etc, a podcast that recently launched in 2020). She has been featured on countless television and radio shows, podcasts, and in magazine articles and blogs, has appeared on the inaugural seasons of Dancing with the Stars and Marriage Bootcamp: Reality Stars and has been given the beloved nickname of “Fairy Godmother” to Bachelor Nation - a name she will forever embrace with heart and gratitude.
